Our history

Trained as a food engineer in France, Senegalese national Siny Samba is passionate about early childhood and has experience in R&D with France’s leading infant food company. To contribute to the economic development of Senegal in her own way, she chose to found her company, Le Lionceau, with her partner, Rémi Filastò, also a food engineer from Montpellier SupAgro.

Siny Samba, a graduate in food engineering from Institut Agro in France, harmoniously merges her passions for cooking and supporting children in her country of origin, Senegal.

Motivated by her commitment to contribute to her country’s development, she decided to return to Senegal and founded “Le Lionceau”, a social enterprise producing nutritious baby foods made from 100% locally sourced raw materials. Together with her partner, Rémi Filastò, also a food engineer, they aim to build more sustainable and inclusive food value chains by working with small farmers, women’s groups, and local communities.
